其实《西雅图夜未眠》不算是翻拍的，只是受到了《金玉盟》启发，从之前的片子中剪切了一部分，并且他的主题曲用了《金玉盟》的An affair to remember.

鲜为人知的是，这部电影是导演根据自己1939年《缘分的天空》（Love Affair，又译《风流韵事》）重拍的经典煽情片，曾迷倒50年代的痴情男女。90年代的《西雅图夜未眠》将本片作为剧情参照物，获得新一代观众的认同。本片情节丰富感人，拍摄手法虽然比较老派，但主角的出色表演将这段阴错阳差的爱情诠释得十分动人，尤其适合向往浪漫真爱的女性欣赏。1994年由华伦·比提和安妮特·本宁再度重拍，片名改回原来的《Love Affair》，中译名有《爱你》、《想你》、《恋你》等。
本片的主题曲《An Affair to Remember (Our Love Affair)》也很受欢迎。由哈利·华伦作曲，Leo McCarey 和 Harold Adamson 作词。片头歌曲由Vic Damone演唱，并且在片中由德博拉·克尔所饰演的一个夜总会的歌手所演唱。Marni Nixon是德博拉·克尔的代唱，她也曾在影片《国王与我》中为德博拉·克尔代唱。
