剧情梗概:
电脑公司经理孙志辉（任达华饰）一直过着双重人格的古怪生活。白日里在公司勤奋做事，对女人与金钱不屑一顾；夜晚却开始百般设法接近自己的梦中情人——电视台当红主持人黄洁怡（翁虹饰）。孙不仅搬到黄所住公寓的对面用望远镜监视其的一举一动，更用录影机跟踪拍摄，并用铁棒教训了所有对黄无礼或是企图接近她的男人。孙在自己家里贴满了黄的照片，每天只以观看她的录影与对着打扮成貌似她的假人说话为乐。
一次偶然的机会，孙通过同事认识了黄和她的有钱男友查理（王敏德饰）。二人的恩爱让孙妒火中烧，而孙奇怪的眼神也让黄起了戒心。
查理在黄身边的频频出现让孙再也无法忍耐，于是在二人订婚的假面舞会上，孙终于开始采取行动。就如他所说“我们是命中注定的缘分”，一段混杂着痛苦与极乐的扭曲爱情注定要在孙与黄之间展开......
