這首歌的原始版本中包含一句「I hope that I don't vomit in his
face」，vomit也指嘔吐物講，這種「體液」類的詞彙在迪士尼是不被接受的，這時詞作者Robert Lopez的女兒Katie提出將這句詞更換為「I
wanna stuff some chocolate in my face」，最後這句詞也是被用在電影的最終版本中。

至於重唱版本，在Anna勸說打動Elsa的場景中(名字叫做「生命太短暫」，引出浪費生命的人不理解生命太短暫這一主題)原本歌詞中有不同的對抗抒情場景，這在姐妹們了解了如果獨自生活生命就會很短暫這一道理之後自然而然就會產生重唱。

在整個寫作過程中隨著角色的發展(特別是Elsa從一個頑童變成一個不幸的英雄)，這首歌被視為是充滿報復性的而不是在建立一個主題。
