元朝末年，宦官弄權。由皇帝特派駐守地方的太監重權在握，暴虐人民，弄得民不聊生。劉公公更是如同皇帝，獨霸一方。天寶與君寶手足情深，自小在少林寺同當和尚。稍長，天寶師伯發現他偷練少林武功，君寶受牽連，雙雙被迫還俗。二人靠賣藝糊口，天寶為名利投效太監劉公公，為虎作倀。君寶不以為然，二人從此各走各路。秋雪千里尋夫，卻發現丈夫已另娶劉公公之妹，二女大打出手，君寶救走秋雪，二人成為好朋友，並一同加入反暴政義士行列。另一邊廂天寶已加入劉公公軍營成為一名小兵，他為求立功陞官，竟不惜出賣君寶、小冬瓜、秋雪以及其他義士，君寶等人誤信天寶連累義士慘死，大受打擊，精神錯亂。幸得秋雪照顧，療養期間君寶創出"太極"武功。此時天寶死不悔改追蹤而至，君寶替天行道，把他殺掉。最後君寶要把天寶骨灰帶回少林，與秋雪分道揚鑣。
