《怪物史萊克》於2001年上映，為美國好萊塢知名導演安德魯·亞當森、艾倫·華納執導的動畫作品，製作公司則為夢工廠。該作品改編自知名童書作家威廉·史泰格的同名繪本，影片笑點在於「嘲諷所有的經典童話，並顛覆了一般人對童話故事的刻版印象。」

角色介紹：

1、怪物史萊克：

周身綠色的怪物，醜陋外表下卻有著善良的心。只是隨性自由的程度幾乎讓常人無法接受。還好他身邊還有著不少的「童話故事」里的朋友。

不過，為防止嚇著別人，他生活在沼澤地的小屋裡，卻也過得自在自樂。而且，勇敢無畏的綠怪最終獲得天作良緣，讓他救出了火龍看守的古堡里的美麗公主，英雄最終也抱得「美人」歸。

2、貧嘴驢

從小生長在村莊，生活休閑自得，思想十分開放，隨著開放的大腦，嘴也變得開放起來，其饒舌功力不亞於痞子阿姆，但魅力無法擋，竟獲得了超越種族的愛情……

驢子已經是爸爸了，大概他應該淡定下來，可是本性難移，他仍舊鬧騰非凡。以往，在綠怪朋友幾番遇難之時，都有貧嘴驢在一旁周旋，並四處求救。

3、靴子貓

雖然個子嬌小，但英俊有餘，頭戴帽、腳穿靴、腰扎皮帶、配寶劍 性格，沉穩，冷靜。 並有著俠客佐羅一樣能把玩幾招的好劍法。

他故作紳士打扮，也有幾分勇敢，不過當遇到強敵時，卻並非拔劍猛沖，而是雙手緊握大黑帽大眼圓睜、淚花閃閃，一副楚楚可憐的模樣，以博得對方的同情。他曾受雇去幹掉史萊克，不想倆人成為好哥們。

4、菲奧娜

菲奧娜公主是一個機靈堅強的女子，曾多次將山賊踢得屁滾尿流。在經過了「拜見岳父」以及「橫刀奪愛」的幾番周折後，最終家中的王室父母接受了大綠怪女婿的事實，並最終以「江山大任」相托。

當夫君遠涉他鄉之時，同樣勇敢但更加智慧的公主自力更生，組建了強大的婦女護衛隊，與前來挑事的叛軍展開激戰，並取得不小的勝利。
